What Will Therapy Look Like With Me?
I get that seeing a therapist for the first time can be a bit scary. You’re talking about things that you might not even tell your friends and family, and that can feel kind of weird at first, right?
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’ve been told that I’m pretty down-to-earth and make my clients feel comfortable and at ease in our sessions. I often get comments like ‘Wow I can’t believe I opened up to you that much at our first session!’ or ‘That hour went by really quickly!’.
I like to think of our sessions as productive conversations. My therapy style is more ‘go-with-the-flow’ as opposed to rigid and structured, and each session is based on what’s the most relevant to you at the time. If your therapy goal is to work on self-esteem, but just yesterday you flunked an exam and are stressing about passing…then that’s what we’ll focus on!
Tailor EACH SESSION to you & your needs
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. You and your experiences are unique, and should be treated that way in therapy. I have a diverse background and can tailor each session to your needs, personality, goals, and pace preference to ensure that you get the most out of our time together. We usually talk about an overall game-plan for moving forward at the end of our first session.

Ultimately, you know what's best for you! I like to think of myself as a guide on your path to self discovery. You hold all the answers you need, and I’m there to help you get to those answers. I offer feedback, draw connections, point out patterns you might not see yourself, give you helpful tools, and more. We work together and I check in with you regularly throughout the therapy process.
